I am pleased to announce that my fanfiction site lucentdusk.com is back up and running smoothly. It has been down for awhile because it got hacked and I had to rebuild it. I gave it a new look and some new functionality. Check it out!

Summary: A quest for dinner lands the Doctor and Rose in Adams, Tennessee, a far cry from their intended destination.  They face-off against the paranormal and their own empty stomachs while being introduced to true Southern hospitality.  It also wouldn't hurt if they figured out the difference between sugar and "sugah".

Note:  Written for the defunct drficexchange.  Below is the prompt I was given.  If you recognize it, please let me know.  I'd like to know for whom this fic was intended.

I updated Lucent Dusk with a brief recap of my trip to DragonCon this year, including some pictures.  I know it is very late, but being a web noob, I had to figure out how to post all the pics I wanted without spending hours of coding.  Huzzah for me for finding the right module!

the mods at drficexchange lately? We were getting a steady stream of fic postings and then they suddenly stopped with no word. I hope nothing has happened to our wonderful mod purely_distel. If anyone has news, please share. I figure I can't be the only one chomping at the bit to see more results of the fic exchange... am I?

I have recently attempted (and completed) my first attempt at a fanfic challenge.  I have submitted a completed work to the

I am greatly anticipating the big reveal!  But participation there got the blood pumping for other challenges.  I found one at

The competition reminds me of Survivor for authors.  Each round, the fics are posted without author's names and the community at large votes.  Those with the fewest votes get eliminated from the competition until at last there is only one author left.

Sign-up for the competition ends on August 12th, so round 1 will commence soon after.  There is still time for those who wish to sign-up.  Those who wish to participate in the voting should join the community and watch as the pens fly!  Come join the fun!  And wish me luck!  Considering the list of fanfiction authors I will be competing against, I have a strong feeling that I will need it!
